Weeds

Where do weeds come from? As gardeners we really don't know. They seem to just magically appear in the garden growing wildly choking out our fruit producing plants, seemingly from nowhere and nothing.

In life we also have weeds that grow. However, here we can actually see where they come from. They come from seeds sown when we go astray from the teaching of our Lord and Savior.

Satan is the great weed seed planter. He enjoys planting seeds of doubt, seeds of deceit, seeds of pride, seeds of lust.....

We need to be aware as we go through life that even though Satan may spread his seeds everywhere that these seeds are different...if they are hit with Light...they whither and die and do not become weeds in our lives.

We cannot place all the blame on Satan. Once the seeds are planted, we are the ones which allow the seed to germinate and become a weed in our life...just the same we can choose to pluck this weed as soon as it sprouts, and leave it on the Cross. Do not let Satan choke out your life in Christ...don't let Satan lead you astray away from the eternal life promised and gained.

How many weeds will you let grow...?

So great to read this great post from you today, Bill!! I do a lot of weed pulling. You have to keep after it all the time or they do take over.

Susan,

So true...we have to pull weeds daily in order to keep ourselves producing "fruit". Praise Jesus.

I am glad you are posting again. The "weeds" I have found have a very difficult time growing in a thankful person's life. Thanks for the reminder that we all need in this area of our life. connie from Texas
